 AnswerThe difference between the transformers is the amount of wattage each transformer can power. These lights are each 2.75 watts and each transformer has 6 slots for lights, so it just depends on location and how much wattage you need to power. You don't need to buy the more expensive one if you only need 0-15 watts.
