The 10" drop leaf has strong supports for extra stability. The kitchen cart measures 29" W x 29" D x 35" H with the drop leaf up and 29" W x 19-1/2" D x 35" H with the drop leaf down. 	This butcher block table was exactly what I was looking for (even the color matched my Kitchen cabinets)! Love the deep drawer ... and the drop leave for extra length when needed. Took us a few days to put together.... They should send some extra nuts/bolts ... in case you are missing some. (our cats managed to knock some off the table and we went crazy finding them). Excellent value ....perfect... perfect.... perfect...

	The design is nice and the wood is good quality but the surface finish is a little rough. We need to sand the edges because they are snagging lint from dish towels. Construction: I do not like furniture that is assembled with 'compression fittings'. I expect these on lower end -particle board furniture, but not on a $700 piece of solid wood furniture. Because we could not get tight fit on any of the the pieces, we disassembled the unit, applied wood glue to all the joints, then retightened the compression fittings. We also added a few wood screws in strategic locations. With these added measure, we seem to have a solid and stable piece. When the unit arrived the 'kit' was missing some screws and the angle brackets needed to attach the butcher block top. The company, however, quickly sent the missing parts when I called.
