- How to Maintain your Butcher Block
Take all the amazing features of Catskill's Butcher Block Islands, add a drop leaf, and you have exceptional, top-quality mobile kitchen islands, perfect for your kitchen. The drop leaf that extends from the butcher block top gives you additional work space or a handy breakfast bar. A food safe oil finish is used on the top as well. Although it looks as if though there are two drawers, the one large drawer of these kitchen islands feature satin nickel handles and provides a generous amount of room to store your kitchen utensils. All of the inner storage compartments feature adjustable middle shelves. The shelves in the two smaller end sections of the kitchen mobile islands are removable to allow storage of your baking sheets. Heavy duty locking casters make these kitchen carts easy to move, but ensures that they will stay put while you are working on the butcher block.

| I just finished assembling my center island. I am generally pleased with the result. However, the diagrams contained within the instructions often did not clearly illustrate how various pieces were to be placed in relation to each other, and I had to disassemble and restart various phases of the process several times. In addition, in a few instances, the hardware provided did not match the descriptions in the instructions. Better diagrams with more perspective views would be helpful. |
