These kitchen island carts by Chris & Chris come constructed of solid hardwood. Included in these kitchen islands are chrome wire baskets to give that extra bit of storage space. Even more storage is provided by solid wood drawers, chrome wire speed racks, a knife holder, towel rack and s-hooks for hanging tools. The cart's “Chop and Drop” system is perfect for sanitary food handling and easy cleanup. Strong and mobile, the Pro Chef Food Prep Station sits on 3" rubber casters, two of which can lock securely. Not only does this work station give ample work and storage space, but it adds style and beauty to any environment.

I had two minor issues with cart defects (cutting board was warped and one of the drawer tracks was bent). I called the number listed and they fed-ex'd the pieces the next day. Great customer service and this is a very nice cart.

Putting it together takes a while (2 hours) but worth it. Solidly built and has an excellent look for our kitchen. Very spacious top with two prep surfaces, huge drawer and two levels of storage make this a great piece.
good cart, good value by: nth from: pittsburgh, pa on: September 23, 2009
I've been very happy with the cart, though I replaced the cutting board piece with a piece of marble (I use the cutting board separately). The cart is sturdy and adds lots of much needed storage space and work area to my small kitchen. The assembly directions were reasonably easy to follow and I was able to put the cart together all by myself, though some parts are large and heavy so probably better to do with assistance. The bottom piece of the drawer was slightly damaged, but it works fine. Two of the top pieces do not meet flush, but it is strictly a cosmetic issue. I shopped around a lot before buying this cart and it was by far and away the best I could find given the size limitations I have and the amount I wanted to spend.

Took some time to assemble, but was worth it. Great height for chopping, lot of easy storage. My kitchen is a much better place. Great customer service!

This is an amazing island. Fairly easy to put together, what makes it tough is that the wood is heavy. But that's one of the reasons it's such a good island when put together.
Then you have the removable pieces for the top which makes it so easy to keep clean. Love the side rack, the drawer the extra shelf space below.
Only one flaw is that small pieces of whatever you cut fall beyond the wood and marble and then into the drawer so I find I need to clean it out every so often. But that's a minor trade off.
