| ||I bought this island to match the cupboard that I already had. It arrived with a crack across the granite top. I notified kitchensource, com and they were extremely helpful. I had another island granite top withim days. There were other minor defects and blemishes in the island. But nothing we couldn't fix. This island Is very difficult to build alone. You need at least two people. All in all i'm very happy with my purchase.

| ||Very heavy and solid. It took my wife and I a full day and part of the next day to assemble. Not an easy job. I would say impossible for one person to do it alone. When finished, it is a very sturdy and great addition to our kitchen. I would recommend this product, but you must have patience to assemble it.

| ||The island is simply beautiful. Now I have adequate storage space for my belongings and I can enjoy the beauty of the island. I am very happy with this kitchen island. It complements my kitchen. Not only is it beautiful, it is also utilitarian with its granite insert which makes for ease of cleaning.
|Top Much Darker than Picture
by: Charli from: Sparta, NJ on: December 9, 2010
| ||Don't be fooled by the photos. The top on this is a very very dark oak finish. It appears medium or "cottage" in the pictures, but it is more like the mediterranean dark oak of the 1970's. Takes several hours to assemble- almost impossible for 1 person alone, unless they are very agile
