| | Wow, is all I can say. I did a lot of background work before purchasing this island. I read every review on every website that sells them. I had a hard time beleiving that any product could receive the rave reviews that this island and this company received. Because of those reviews I placed my order. I ordered it on a Tuesday morning and received it on Friday. My husband, who is 65, and I loaded it into our truck and took it to our cottage that evening. A tree was down when we got there and he said he wouldn't be able to assemble it for me and I could give it a try myself. I have assembled many peices of "office furniture" and each time I swore I would never buy unassembled furniture again. I dreaded even starting this task. I am 57 years old and figured that I would never be able to do it. Couldn't have been more wrong. The instructions were clear and concise, with pictures of each part, peice, and hardware. Every peice of hardware needed to assemble had an "extra". Every piece of wood had a corresponding letter on it. There was not one single mistake in the directions. It was absolutely the easiest thing I have ever assembled in my life. The boards were square and straight. The drawers slide better than the expensive cupboards in my kitchen. The doors line up perfectly with no gaps and close tightly. The only thing I could not do alone was lift the island top because it was very large as this model has a flip up breakfast bar attached to it. Other than needing help to mount that, I did it totally alone in three hours. It would have taken less time had I not thought I was smarter than I am and did not clearly follow the drawer assembly instrucitons, thus having to take one apart and redo it. No one to blame for that except myself. Once assembled the island looks like a very very nice piece of furniture and I could NOT be happier. The island is exceptional as was the service from Kitchen Source. I have no regrets and could not be more pleased with my purchase!!!!

 | Better Quality Than Expected

| | The research I did on getting just the right cabinet took about 4 months as I needed something that had an **inside cabinet depth of at least 14"** to fit my small appliances and still allow the doors to close. Most websites *do not* list that measurement, which would have helped tremendously. The final decision was to buy a cart that met my other requirements and then cut a hole in the back of the cabinet to accommodate the appliances. ***Much to my pleasant surprise, the cabinet depth of this particular cart is a hair over 14", and the doors completely close!!!*** The overall quality of the wood is **much better than I anticipated**, based on what I've seen of others' carts. It took me about 4.5 hrs to put it together. Instructions were reasonably easy to follow, but my suggestion would be to read them slower than what you usually do: I realized that night that I had put the locking wheels in the wrong positions, so the next day I corrected that...add another 30 mins!...I also chose not to attach the towel rack and utensil box...subtract 30 mins! The only glitch with the cart is that the left drawer is just the slightest too wide, fitting very snug, thus, requiring me to hold the cart with one hand when pulling that drawer out with the other...once I re-set the locking wheels to the front and locked them, that alleviated the need to hold the cart in place, but the drawer still pulls out with difficulty...need to figure that one outโone of these days! ****But overall, I'm extremely pleased with a product of which I originally had mediocre expectations!****

| Iam thrilled with my island. I am a 75 year old grandmother and I easily put it together by myself. The directions are excellent. The only problem I had was with the drawer which IIt is strong and a great addition to my small kitchen

This is just the piee I needed for my small kitchen. I ama 75 year old grandmother and found the directions to be excellent. I was able to consruct it myself. The only problem I had was that I had to assemble the drawers. I needed an electric drill in order to drive in the screws. If I can put it together, anyone can do it!

My only complaint was the damaged side panel(which was promptly replaced).

This is a heavy item and by the look of the carton on receipt, it was really 'man handled' by UPS. Thanks to the exceptional packing, (lots of styrofoam sheets between parts and tough cardboard box), it made it with little damage, and only minor scuffing. The damage was to the corner of an end panel and resulted from a 2" puncture to the carton that went through two styrofoam sheets and contacted the panel. This was not noticeable after assembly, but UPS should be scolded for their rough handling of heavy items.
The instructions were clear and easily followed and the kit included the right tools and some spares. The only flaw I noticed was that after assembly one of the casters would not stay in the locked position.
Overall I would rate this item as a very good cart. It is well engineered and carefully laid out. It is a very sturdy unit and I expect to get many years of use from it.

This is truly a beautiful sturdy piece perfectly constructed and took less than an hour to assemble since most of it is already put together anyway. | | Wow! You really deliver! I was expecting this to take about 3-4 weeks to arrive and instead it arrived in 4 days. Like many other customers, my husband and I are more than a little challenged in doing anything remotely handy. I was amazed at how easy it was to organize all of the parts (which were clearly marked to match the directions) and start assembling them step by step. With a few breaks thrown in to the process, we were able to finish in about 2 hours and had a truly wonderful kitchen island to show for it. Anyone who has been through the agony of the words "some assembly required", knowing things won't line up right, parts will be missing and it will take 3 times more time than they tell you, has nothing to fear from your products. Everything that you thought about and dreaded, does not exist with your product. The price and the quality make you guys a true find!!

The entire assembling, even with putting the drawers together twice, only took 1 hr, 30 minutes using only one hand. again, brilliant engineering!!

The quality of the product is excellent and it was much easier to assemble than any other item I've ever put together. (I didn't even curse one time while assembling it, which is probably a first!!) Ordered the HomeStyle Kitchen Cart HS-5023-95 by phone. The sales lady was so nice and was able to give me a couple of tips about putting it together. She had one of the small carts. It came within 3 working days. Had all parts. Directions to put together were super. From start to finish it took me right at 2 and 1/2 hours. Your Allen wrench and my Phillip's head screwdriver and it was done. Again, thank you to all. A great staff - a great product.

| | I am very pleased with my new kitchen island. It is wonderful. I am 72 and put it together without any help except an electric screwdriver. It did take me almost 4 hours but that is because I had to rest every once in awhile. It gives me the extra counter space and the middle shelf is big enough for my large cookie sheets. It looks great and with 2 $19 bar stools that fit under the leaf on the back I have extra eating by just swinging the island out. The shipping was fast and the UPS man even put it in the house for me. I will order more from this site.
