Now John Boos offers Gathering Block II, with all the features of the original Gather Block. This kitchen furniture is designed to accommodate the largest or smallest tasks. The Cream finished Butcher Block is designed to serve as centrally located kitchen food preparation station, providing quick and easy access to and from counters, sinks, refrigerator and range areas. Two large wicker baskets, mounted under the top, slides out on either side, for quick access to stored utensils, recipe ingredients, cookbooks or other materials. There is approximately 15" of space in between the baskets and the slatted shelf. Assembly is required and this item ships via truck.

Such a well made piece of furniture, and so easy to assemble!!! It is the perfect size, height, and most important, color.
Great Block and Island! by: A Kocsis from: Chester, VA on: January 13, 2011
This butcher block is a great addition to our kitchen! If you want a butcher block top (that weighs over 100#) that is big enough to serve as an island- this one is for you! The quality is great and although some assembly is required, it's super simple! We wanted an island for the kitchen but didn't want all the issues of installing one and this matched and works perfectly!

Great looking - love it! by: anonymous from: -, IN on: September 10, 2009
Product arrived fast. Delivery company needed help getting it off of the truck so I had it sent to our company instead. Went together easily. Baskets are not of the greatest quality but are fine. The baskets I have in my cabinets are better. Overall, love it and think it looks great in the kitchen. I ordered the black one.
