A beautiful and functional kitchen island! by: Pat from: Montgomery, NY on: December 30, 2014
John Boos constructs a 5 star plus kitchen island. It's beautiful piece of kitchen furniture that was easy to assemble despite it's 250 plus pounds. I highly recommend this product!

Statement Piece by: Mike from: Caledonia, WI on: October 6, 2014
This is a great worktable and statement piece for my kitchen. I'm impressed with the overall quality. The fit and finish is top notch and the 4" thick maple end grain top is beautiful. I was a little worried about having this heavy item shipped to me, but Boos has it well boxed and it arrived in perfect shape. The only slight distraction is the drawer glides are a little stiff. The addition of self closing glides would be a nice touch.

This is the most beautiful island I've ever seen. I feel so pampered when I work or sit at it. I know I will have this piece of furniture for life!

Just what we wanted in our kitchen. It's perfect! We love the quality and are very pleased with the color. Thank you. We only wish that you made counter stools to match!
perfect island by: po from: Hilton Head , SC on: April 26, 2012
After careful consideration online and in stores, i ordered this island. It is a substantial, professional kitchen addition. It was easy to put together, but you will need to strong people to set it upright. To me, butcher block is meant to be used. It does spot when wet items are placed on it, but spots disappear when oiled. My guess is that after it is seasoned, that will improve, and it certainly is not bad enough to bother me

This is a substantial piece of furniture. It is well crafted and very lovely. No comparison to the wobbly less expensive islands found in the box stores.
love it by: susan sanchez from: warwick, NY on: August 18, 2009

Love the look but the finish makes it impractical by: Mark Christine from: Norwalk, CT on: July 15, 2009
This workstation looks great in my kitchen but the finish on the surface makes it impractical. The instructions state that you should not get the surface wet. I can't imagine working in a kitchen and not getting the work surface wet. I wish I had done the research before getting a butcher block. In hind sight I would rather a workstation with a counter top surface that can get wet.
