Legend has it that in 1887 John Boos invented the butcher block for a friend of his, thus making history. John Boos & Company has been building solidly serviceable, beautiful butcher blocks for the foodservice industry and home cooks ever since. Give your kitchen the functional beauty and superior craftsmanship found in the John Boos Butcher Block. The super-thick top is constructed of hard maple with a Cream finish. The end grain construction is the traditional, preferred method for high-end butcher block tops. Solid maple legs are turned for a classic look and superior stability. At 34 inches, this butcher block is the perfect height for chopping, slicing and rolling out dough. The John Boos Butcher Block offers your kitchen time-honored construction methods, a legendary brand name and classic good looks.
Love it! by: Carol from: Park City, Ut on: September 11, 2015
We love our new butcher block. It does weigh 300 lbs. and so it was rather difficult setting up. Thankfully we have strong son-in- laws. It is exactly what we expected.

Wish I would have bought one of these sooner...

Very sturdy, functional butcher block Easy assembly, but quite heavy. Took two strong guys to stand it up.

The butcher block required some assembly - putting on the legs - and despite the weight of it, my husband and son were able to do it fairly easily. It is solid! Looks just as good as the picture on the site and will be a family heirloom, I am sure.

Wonderful product with solid legs and looks great! by: Teresa Schmid from: Port Angeles, WA on: November 19, 2012
We looked very carefully at kitchen carts and butcher blocks. Since we have John Boos butcher block countertops and a desk area with the same, we chose the 24x24x34 natural maple butcher block with turned legs in black. The look is so clean and modern, with black cabinets for the lowers and frosted glass aluminum uppers and white marble flooring with gray/black streaks. It's breathtaking!!! Will send a photo if you'd like. My sister thought it was a showroom kitchen. Thank you John Boos for your excellent products. We are so happy.
