The 2-1/4 inch thick edge grain butcher block style top is an ideal spot to store, prepare and consume your homemade delicacies. It features a varnique finish. The towel bar and lower shelf create even more storage in your kitchen. An 8 inch drop leaf is available on these islands to further your work space. The dovetailed maple drawer with its stainless steel front provides space for your smaller gourmet cookware. An optional set of four 5 inch locking casters is offered. Another available option with these ever functional kitchen islands is a stainless steel pot rack. The pot rack extends 48 inches above the table top and features a 2 inch by 3/16 inch bar with 15 stainless steel hooks.

	The island is a great addition to our kitchen. Sturdy and beautiful. Only thing that was disappointing was that we ordered 48 x 36 top size thinking the 8" drop was additional, making total top 44" wide. However, the 36" wide figure INCLUDES the 8" drop. In the long run it actually fit our space better. A quality piece of furniture but bring some muscle to lift that 220lb finished product!
