This Kitchen Work Center from JK Adams has a Sugar Maple top with a Cherry base. Hand-rubbed with three coats of finish, this island is handmade using mortise and tenon construction techniques. The work surface has a gentle rim on three sides to prevent crumbs and other food items from falling onto the floor. A solid wood dovetail drawer with a stainless pull adds storage. The drawer rests on European glides that help it close automatically when nudged. An adjustable foot on each leg allows the table to be leveled on uneven floors, for more stability.
