Michael Scott Furniture is a company at ease with changing with the times. What started as a husband and wife moving company in Chicago, Illinois soon evolved into a used furniture store selling unclaimed furniture. Sam and Libby Cohen, the founders of Michael Scott Furniture hired craftsmen to repair the second hand furniture and eventually began to sell high quality new furniture in their retail store as well.  

Years later, the family owned Michael Scott Furniture business continues to design and manufacture quality furniture for the kitchen. Their hutches, kitchen islands and carts, buffets and more are crafted in a time honored way for the look of much-loved furniture. To maintain this, each piece is finished with a hand-rubbed technique that exposes the contrasting undercoat. The treatment adds a touch of antique visual appeal to each kitchen furniture piece.
