What to Give Dad for Father's Day
 by Shannon McMahon Bruchal

It's that time of year again. Summer is just around the corner and school is letting out, which means it must be close to Father's Day.  A national holiday since 1966, with origins dating back to 1910, Father's Day has become the occasion to pay tribute to the man you call Dad, Stepdad, Father-in-Law, Grandpa -- anyone who is a father figure to you.  The big question is, what do you get for this man who has guided you through life that shows him how much you appreciate him?

For the Dad who's devoted to his favorite college or professional sports team, a portable grill is perfect for tailgating before and after the game.  This sturdy little grill runs on disposable L/P gas cylinders and weighs only 18 pounds, making it essential gear for the parking lot picnic.

Wine enthusiasts will love this mahogany tasting table for storing and decanting wine. Six columns wide by nine rows high and two rows deep, the table holds 108 bottles of Dad's prized vintage.

Let Dad entertain family and friends around the pool or on the patio with this outdoor bar and stools.   Constructed of pressure-treated pine, the bar has shelves for storage. The bar and stools are available in a variety of hand-painted colors.

The Dad who loves the great outdoors can cozy up to a campfire in the backyard or at a campsite with a 30" Round Fire Pit. Made of heavy-gauge copper with a steel frame, the fire pit comes with an easy access screen, a lifting tool, a log grate and a cover, for hours of Dad downtime.

A wooden valet stand will keep Dad in order. Equipped with a hanger for suits and jackets, a bar for hanging pants, a shoe rack and a tray for jewelry and other personal items, the valet stand also has a circular mirror for last-minute spot checks.

Dad can open and recork wine bottles like a pro with a wine opener or a wine opener combo. Cast in aluminum and finished in antique bronze, antique pewter or antique nickel, the openers make uncorking the wine a quick and easy task.

Decorate Dad's refrigerator or beverage dispenser with panels that represent his favorite sports team. Choose from high profile colleges and universities as well as selected NASCAR teams to create an exciting atmosphere.

Give Dad the best seat in the yard with a chaise lounge. Constructed of pressure-treated pine, the chaise lounge is built to withstand years of relaxing and napping.

Keep Dad cool on the back porch with an outdoor ceiling fan. Perfect for the covered porch, deck, patio or gazebo, this fan will provide a nice breeze on hot summer days.

The folding BBQ cart has ample workspace and storage space, perfect for the Master of the Grill.
A hanging rack for 12 glasses, 3-bottle wine caddy, stainless steel towel rod, hooks for barbecue tools and shelves keep everything Dad needs for grilling right where he needs them. The cart folds to a 5½" profile, making it easy to store.
