Shopping for Kitchen Appliances and Accessories
KITCHEN ACCESSORIES UNLIMITED | BUYING TIPS FOR EASY CLEANUP

If you already know the style, layout, and color scheme of your new kitchen, it's time to start shopping.  Before buying anything, however, make sure you know the dimensions of each product you will buy.  Having this information handy when you begin shopping can save you the aggravation of discovering you've ordered something that does not fit into your kitchen.

About Kitchen Accessories Unlimited
The Kitchen Accessories Unlimited (KAU) online catalog is ideal for both making purchases and gathering information about numerous decorating options.  On the KAU home page, you will find a wide variety of kitchen products sorted by type.  The products you see on the home page are only the tip of the iceberg.  For example, there is an image link that leads to the pot racks welcome page, where you can browse an immense selection of pot racks by brand name and style.  There are hundreds of pot rack styles available through this Web site.  When taking into account the various sizes and finishes for each style, we're talking thousands of pot racks.

What We Offer
Pot racks make up only a small fraction of our entire online catalog, which includes products made by dozens of the leading kitchen accessories manufacturers.  There are no physical retail stores located anywhere in the United States that could possibly offer the selection we have at KAU.  We take comprehensive product listings from the best companies in the world and offer them through our site.

We do not specialize in electronics like microwaves, coffeemakers, or refrigerators, but we do sell nearly everything else.  Lazy susans, bar stools, chopping blocks, and range hoods are just a few of our available products.  If you just need something to improve the functionality or efficiency of your kitchen, there's a strong chance we have it.  If not, give us a call at 1-800-667-8721, and we may be able to find it for you.

Many of the products sold at KAU come in numerous finishes and sizes.  For example, Broan's line of Rangemaster range hoods are available in dozens of colors.  Regardless of the size or color scheme of your kitchen, you are guaranteed to find something at KAU that will look great next to your other furniture.  Our Web site features products sold by the most venerable names in their respective industries, such as John Boos, Enclume, and Frigo.  At the bottom of the home page, you'll see our selection of brand name collections from the most exclusive names in kitchen accessories.

We take custom orders all the time, so if you call 1-800-667-8721, our team of kitchen accessories experts can assist you with your order.  If you find a better price at another Web site, call us with the URL, and we will do our best to match it.  We also offer free shipping on all purchases over $100.  BACK TO TOP

Buying Tips for Easy Cleanup
Americans lead incredibly busy lifestyles.  A large portion of us work more than eight hours each day and spend considerable time commuting.   We also have to set time aside for eating, paying the bills, maintaining healthy family and social lives, and after all that, we must clean up after ourselves.  We really only have a few hours of free time before we go to bed, if that much.  Many people end up sacrificing something in that schedule in order to free up time.  Cleaning is a common casualty.  Of course, we can't give up cleaning altogether, but by decorating a certain way, you can reduce the time you spend dusting, scrubbing, and maintaining your home.

  • Buy colors that are neither too light nor too dark.  White appliances and accessories demand constant attention.  You must always wash white furnishings in order to avoid and blemishes.  White highlights all spillages and imperfections.  Dark things, on the other hand, make dust more visible.  If your dining room table has a dark wood finish, you might have noticed how often it needs dusting.  When light shines on a dark surface, all the dust reflects the light.

  • If you're going to buy stainless steel appliances, countertops, or other accessories, go for either brushed or matte finish.  Mirror finished stainless steel will show smudges, fingerprints, and any number of other imperfections that can be noticed.  Because matte finished stainless steel is dull, it actually hides a lot.

  • Purchase kitchen islands, workstations, and hutches that have plenty of drawers and doors.  This will reduce clutter and make cleanup a breeze.  All those loose papers and thingamajigs you're not quite sure where to put but don't want to throw away can be tucked away in a drawer whenever people come over.  If you're guests can't see it, it's not really there!

  • If you need a hanging light over a kitchen island or dinner table, opt for a simple design rather than a chandelier.  Most chandeliers are made of shiny metal or crystal, which means that all smudge marks become very prominent.  They also have lots of curves and knobs that make cleaning difficult.  By opting for recessed lighting or very simple hanging lights, you either eliminate the need to dust altogether or greatly reduce cleaning time.  Dimmer switches are heaven-sent for people who don't have the time to dust or clean.

  • Upholstery and countertop patterns help conceal stains and imperfections.  Whenever something consists of many different shades and colors, blemishes tend to blend in with the pattern.  Flecked or granite patterns do an especially good job of hiding stains and spots.  BACK TO TOP
