| ||light and fan switches are a little hard to reach, otherwise seems good so far

| ||Broen Range fan is a powerful unit. Happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone.
|Quiet, efficient operation

| ||I replaced the original vent because it was too loud and did not seem to do much. This new one installed in the same space as the other one but I could not re-use the old liner. It took less than an hour to switch the liner and power module.
My only complaint is with the lights. They can only be 40w candlestick bulbs and they do not provide enough work light.
It sucks a lot better than the old one.
|Great price-could use better lighting

| ||I purchased this vent for kitchen. The fan has lots of speeds and is only moderately noisy. My only complaint is the lighting. It takes two "candlabra size bulbs and only low wattage. It doesn't throw nearly enough light onto the range. I would definatly like to have at least 3 times as much light and I would rather have a standard base light bulb.
|nothing special, but it works

| ||I'm not an expert evaluator of power packs, but this one seems to be fine. A bit difficult to get the filter screen back in, once removed to clean or change light bulbs (which don't come with the unit), but otherwise it works much better than my previous unit.

| ||Product works well. We installed it in a custom range top hood. It works well for most cooking. We did try grilling on our gas range top once, but wew did not turn the fan on right away so the kitchen filled with smoke. However, after turning the fan on it did a pretty good job of clearing the smoke. If you plan on indoor grilling, I would install a fan with a higher CFM.
|How do I determine how many CFM's I need? - Asked about product BR-PM390
Generally speaking an electric cook top is low powered and should only need a range hood output between 150cfm - 300cfm. If you have an electric deep fat fryer you will need to treat it as if it was a gas stove top.
"Regular" gas cook tops have outputs of up to around 40,000btu [British Thermal Units] and, since they are almost always used in an "against the wall" situation, you can use this simple formula to help make your choice. Calculate your cook top's btu rating by adding the power of each burner and then divide the total by 100, e.g. a 30,000btu top will require a 300cfm fan.
