| | This is our second Cavaliere range hood.
The performance of the dual fan does a great job moving cooking smoke out of the kitchen.
Low speed is nicely quiet. There is some air handling noise at the higher speeds, but a reasonable trade-off for moving that much air.
We like the touch pad controls located on the front. The automatic start when the fan detects heat is a bit surprising at first, but a good reminder if we have forgotten to turn on the fan during cooking.
We did our own installation. The hood is too heavy for a single person to handle, but the various YouTube videos showing how to use a cabinet jack or auto jack to lift it into position proved helpful. Getting the mounting screws up in the narrow space inside between the hood housing and the fan housing requires patience and small hands.
All in all, we are very pleased with this choice.

| | | No, it can only be vented from the top but if you get a 90 degree elbow you may be able to vent out the back as desired.
