The fans can be set for full air extraction, sucking odorous air out of your kitchen and outside (with proper ventilation installed), or can filter and re-circulate the air back into the room (a recirculation kit is required for this). The built-in grease filters will suck in and trap airborne grease and fat particles as they emit from your stovetop so they won’t be carried to other surfaces in the kitchen. The filter is dishwasher safe, and an indicator will let you know when it’s time to clean it.
