	I've had two of these in succession because I like them so much. I handle them gently and expect them to last, but each has died after some years (fewer than ten) because the plastic hinge has broken. There has to be a stronger material in which to make it. Nothing else is wrong with the can and it's 'wasteful' to throw it out.
