Inspired by 18th century French Creole Cottages the slotted shelves and spindle legs are reminiscent of French Quarter architecture. The Orleans Kitchen Island by Home Styles is constructed of hardwood butcher block top finished in vintage caramel finish. The metal base is a gun metal gray. Features include two fixed shelves for storage, and levelers on the feet for added stability. Assembly required.

| | | Yes, you can use the table top as a cutting surface, but you do not want to cut directly into the wood as overtime it will damage the top and can become a breeding ground for bacteria.

| | | The countertop is constructed of hardwood butcher block top finished in a vintage caramel finish, so any imperfections that may result from wear add to the aesthetics of the piece and its charm. I would still recommend using hot pads underneath hot items, as wood surfaces are not resistant to heat and exposing them directly to hot items could cause the wood surface to split, warp, or break apart. It weighs 94 lbs.
