Description:

Designed to carry up to 50 pounds of distributed load, this braket has an overall height of under 1 inch so that a shelf box profile may be sleek and narrower than a box built around a standard 2x4 framing. This Low Profile Floating Shelf Bracket by Federal Brace includes an exterior "U" shaped support member that fixes to the wall using 1-inch slots cut into the back flange of the shelf bracket. A cross rib member is used to tie the support arms of this exterior bracket together providing increased strength and resistance to deflection. Note: When building the shelf box, space will need to be made on the interior for the box to include fastener used in the rib to exterior bracket connection. This Low Profile Floating Shelf Bracket provides sturdy support with a shorter floating shelf profile.
